Bobby

Sorry I've been gone for a while. First thought; If Faux News is Fair and Balanced, Why did they run an infomercial on the "Purpose Driven Life" and call it a news story? Speaking of the Porpoise Driven Life, did you hear about the "Hostage" from Atlanta who read the book to her captor? She now admits to being a Meth-Head. Funny that's what I thought about people who need to have some fat piece of shit tell them what the Bible is about. Did you know that the genocide in Rwanda has stopped?? That what the author of the book said happened after the Rwandan president read his book. YEAH!

I saw BOBBY this weekend. I don't cry at movies. I wept like a little girl with a skinned knee. It's funny how the thing that were relative then still resonate today.

Meet the New Boss, Same as The Old Boss

I haven't post since the election so here goes: As some observers can testify, I am not a fan of the new breed of republicans. Using religion to get votes and letting that guide them for policy. Faith and religion are 2 very separate things. I have faith in God, I believe in God, and I hate people who claim their own piety. Religion is a crutch that people use to excuse their behavior or to explain what they don't understand. "The devil made me, him, or her do it", or when someone dies senselessly "it was God's will" are lines used by people who lack the brain power to understand what they can't comprehend.

My favorite is "God ordains who leads". Well W, I guess you pissed the big man off.

As I said when I stated this site, I will hold the Democrats to even harsher scrutiny then the GOP. I will uphold this. I still have a feeling that nothing will change. The will become just as corrupt as their republican counter-parts (Jack Murtha).

I will be watching.

There is a new beverage being served at the Tavern on gameday. It's called the Orange Crushed. 2 shot of vodka and a can of orange soda. It's the perfect drink for Bronco fans. No matter how bad they play or if they lose.....after 3 of these bad-boys, you don't care.

Things you have to believe to be a Republican

Things you have to believe to be a Republican today:

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy
made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy
when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with
China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest
national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iran.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but
multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without
regulation.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches,
while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then
demand their cooperation and money.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health
care to all Americans is socialism.

HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but
creationism should be taught in schools.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense,
but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is
solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution,
which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George
Bush's driving record is none of our business.

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a
conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for
your recovery.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what
Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

Can a dog change your day?

This is Bayliss. She goes by many nicknames; Bubba, Bubbaganush, Princess Greybeard and many more.
In January she turns 10 years old. We have had her since she was 12 weeks old and in that time she has brought nothing but joy to our lives. However, at her age she has slowed down quite a bit. She can't jump like she used to and her age is catching up to her. She doesn't run anymore either.....or so I thought.
Today I took Suzie and her to the local dog park. Most of the time she walk at a brisk pace next to me as I make laps around the park. Suz was up to her normal 1 1/2 year old stuff, chasing squirrels, trying to climb trees, generally acting the fool. Bayliss was next to me as usual, walking at a good pace. Then something wonderful happened, she ran. She chased after Suzie and started playing like a dog half her age. While I know this is not earth shattering news to some, to us it was a pretty big deal. Just when we thought that she would never run a full speed again, she took off.
A tear actually came to my eye watching my little girl doing things at her age she was told she couldn't. (The nice thing is they both slept all day and I got a lot of work done)
The moral of the story is this never let anything stop you from living your life to it's fullest. Not age, disabilities or any obstacle.

Don't let the smile fool you.

Trouble really come in two. As you can see the young boy is very scared of his tormenter.
