The night Pete let me down.

I don't take many vacations. So when Mrs. ronnie and I went to see the Who in Tampa, we thought we had finally been able to take a vacation. I was wrong. Roger Daltrey had bronchitis and the show was cancelled. They re-scheduled the show for March 25th. So after I had shelled out money for the show, hotel, gas, and food, I have nothing to show for it. I got my money back from Ticketmaster, but that doesn't help. I would have had more respect for them if they had made an annoucement earlier the Roger was ill. For fans in Tampa it's not a big deal. I don't live there so I am pissed. Even if Pete had gone on solo, I would not be disappointed.

Moral of the story: Don't pay to see aging baby-boomers in concert, they get sick too easy.

Dear jonronnie, all I can do is apologise on behalf of roger who should have come out at Tampa and apologised in person, and not left it to me. Are you SURE you can't make it on the 25th? There might be something special going on. Pete Townshend

JonRonnie it was juvenile of you
to make the comments that you made
about baby boomer aging bands
getting sick.This sort of thing
happens to bands of all ages
I can assure you.And why blame
Pete?It wasn't his fault and
it wasn't anyone's fault.Roger
felt that he could of went on
and fought thru the performance
that is the trooper that he is.
They did the next best thing and
rescheduled.Damn,I mean you live
in Orlando for goodness sakes!
My buddies are coming back and
Three live in Utah, two live in
Philly,two in Boston,me a 5 hour
drive from Miami. If you are a
true WHO fan you'd make it back.

"Sickness can surely take the mind where minds can't usually go..." so Pete wrote in AMAZING JOURNEY. One never knows when sickness is going to strike. If I were there, I would've been disappointed, but I would prefer Roger get all the rest he needs.

Pete, give Roger my love & support and tell him Tommy (my fiance) & I wish him a fast & speedy recovery!

In sickness and in health, the Who rule, baby!
